Nerd News: Agent Carter characters, Bat-Bear, Supernatural musical and more

Vol. 5, Issue 26

Today is the first day of San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) … and I am not there, sadly. I hope that if you are there, that you’re having a great time. (And reading this after the event is over. Or while standing in line.) If you’re like me, however, you can be sure I’ll be sharing links to roundups in next week’s Nerd News. Let’s console ourselves with some links.

In movie news:

Here are a few trailers/clips/20 minutes of the new TMNT:

  1. It was only a matter of time before Rainbow Brite got a reboot and I wonder which 80s cartoon will be getting a reboot next...

  2. I wonder how long it will be before Thundercats gets a reboot.
NPH on American Horror Story would be amazing. Mainly because I find NPH in anything amazing (and I LOVE American Horror Story).
And not that I care about speed-runs too much as I feel they kind of defeat the purpose of a game, but I don't consider using glitches to beat it as really counting! Seems a bit silly. . .
And lastly, I can't imagine being crazy enough to RIDE A HELICOPTER INTO A SINKHOLE.

  3. I could very easily see that in the next few years. I've been seeing a couple 80s toys making a reappearance. Maybe we'll see more pound puppies (and friends) too?

  4. Thundercats actually did already get a reboot a couple of years ago! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThunderCats_%282011_TV_series%29) It didn't really take off, though.

And NPH does make everything better. :)

  6. 1) Pirates 5. ... /Facepalm...? 2) Digging the Ant Man art pretty hard! 3) MUSICAL SUPERNATURAL. /Cough. I'm calm. I promise. No, but seriously. That would be amazing. And probably hilarious. And, dammit, there should absolutely be a "Once More, With Feeling!" joke. 4) I enjoy Lucy Lawless. I enjoy that she's going to join Agents of SHIELD. I didn't love Xena, but she impressed the heck out of me on BSG. 5) You had me at Rainbow Brite. HOWEVER! I agree that He-Man (or She-Ra) deserve some love. ...on the flip side, why must they meddle in my childhood like this? I love that we get a new TMNT, but I fear it. I'm glad MLP:FiM was a (ginormous) success. I'm pretty stoked on a Jem! movie (but I fear that, too). I dunno....
