  • The Reading Rainbow Kickstarter ended at just over $5.4 million. That means, in addition to a web series, the show will also find its way onto consoles “like Xbox and Playstation.” (Thanks, Wes!)
  • In December, the PSN will be debuting Powers, a new live-action series based on the comic of the same name. All users will be able to watch the first episode for free, while PS+ members can watch the entire series free. (Thanks, Wes.)

In movie news:

I want to be at that party. Did y'all notice Mjolnir just chilling amidst the takeout boxes?

Here are some trailers and teasers:

  1. I loved that still from the Avengers. I can't wait! I don't like that Thor is now a lady. I liked Thor's character as is, and he had a warm, big brother type feel for me. I don't think it's fair to sacrifice one gender for the other. What I -would- like to see is more of Sif, or even a new female character if they want more Marvel ladies.

Sinkhole, ahhhh. x.x They scare me. However, I also find them interesting! I love all of the Science articles.

I read -why- TS4 won't have toddlers and pools, but I still think that they're being lazy. Maybe, maybe not. But that's just my personal opinion. I think toddlers, especially, were a BIG part of why people played, as in, raising their Sim kids.

  2. I don't think my heart can take anymore Doctor Who teasers. Those Star Wars watercolors are amazing! Everything in the science section was exciting to me, but man that sinkhole is terrifying. Weird Al might be my favorite person right now thanks to that parody. The Skywind mod looks insane! The Elder Scrolls series is one of my favorites, so that's a big slice of nostalgia for me.

  3. "Orphan Black has been renewed for a fifth season." Third, no? Unless you have awesome news that nobody else knows about?!?

  4. <3 that RR/Han Solo mash up art. So. Good.

  5. Right? I want to love Rocket so much. The movie better not let me down!

  6. Re: Thor—I don't quite get the whole switching genders thing, since there have been other ladies who could use Mjolnir. And more Sif would have been great.

But, comics have been changed and rebooted and rewritten so many times that it's a wonder anyone can keep up with them anymore.

  7. I'm so glad you enjoyed this "issue"! :)

And after a while, I have to stop watching trailers and teasers because I either get my hopes up too much or start worrying that I've seen all the good there is to see.

  9. the news on TS4 makes me crazy. leaving out toddlers and pools does seem super lazy and even more so when you take into account all the teens, young adults, adults and elders all being the exact same height (cause who can be bothered with extra coding), and them taking away the color wheel and create-a-style- which bothers me the most i loved that level of customization, and the no basements, and the no open world, bringing back the load screens and not making a version of the game for mac users. but apparently they'll have 7 different kinds of walks so... hooray?

  13. Word Crimes is so fantastic. It just doesn't get old. :D
    Also, sink holes are terrifying.

  14. It's based off a radio drama from the 60s/70s. It features two of the companions from the second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe. It was a pretty good read!

  15. I'll have to check it out. Have you read the 50th Anniversary shorts? They're great.

  17. They're all on Amazon for like $1.99 or thereabouts. They were only released digitally, I think.
