Happy Valentine's Day, friends! The holiday kind of snuck up on me this year (yes, even though I posted some love-themed DIY-deas last week) and, to be quite honest, I'm not quite as prepared as I have been in years past. Still, today is all about love—and it's never too late to share yours!
If you, like me, are a little behind, or perhaps are in need of an emergency Valentine or two, check out what I've curated for you below.
Although I didn't create "traditionally" nerdy Valentines this year—like the set of Avengertines I shared last year—I did create a set of YA book-themed Valentines for FYA, and some of the other FYA ladies created Valentines for the shows they recap (The Originals, Gilmore Girls ... I might have created a few for Sherlock, too.) I'm including a few below, but be sure to check out the whole post.
Amy Ratcliffe of Geek With Curves has created a set of Veronica Mars-themed Valentines:
The first in this set, posted on Figment, made my heart(s) break a little all over again:
Artist James Stowe creates Valentines for his kids each year based on a theme of their choosing. Last year, it was Doctor Who:
And he designed some Firefly ones this year:
These vintage 1966 Batman ones are a little weird, but sweet, too:
And if you're looking for something a little less nerdy, Pinterest has an official board featuring Valentines for lovers, friends, and single people who might need a boost:
Still not sure you've found the one you're looking for? Check out my Valentines round-ups from 2013, 2012, and 2011.
