obsessed.: Dole Banana Dippers, Strava and Arrested Development jokes

I'm probably jinxing myself by posting about these, but since it's been a couple of weeks since I've been able to find these in the local grocery store, I figure I've already loved and lost. (Much like happened with Thomas' Corn English Muffins—I miss you, dear friends.)

I like bananas. I like them frozen. I like dark chocolate. All three of those things combine in Dole's Banana Dippers to mouth-watering success.

I found these in our local grocery store in the frozen section near the smoothie fixings. They are SO GOOD you guys. And only 100 calories per pack! I do hope they make a reappearance the next time I'm at the store.

Side note: Googling the above image led me to quite a few blog posts on how to make your own frozen banana bites. If they continue to be elusive at the grocery, I just might have to try and make my own.

And this week, from the Mister:

Colt's huge into cycling, and he loves the ability to track his rides and have friendly competition with his friends over who does the best on certain stretches of road. Enter Strava, an application that allows him to upload data from his bike computer and map his rides online.

Colt describes it as "Facebook for cyclists." (But I think runners can use it, too.)

And from TGG:

Our mutual friend Shaun sent Wes a link to Recurring Developments, a website that visually tracks all the running gags in Arrested Development, last Wednesday, and he immediately knew that he wanted to share it here.

Frozen bananas! How appropriate.

Wes and his wife "sort of accidentally started watching the show again from the beginning" and they're looking forward to the new episodes. Admission: I've never seen the entirety of the show, but it's been on my list for ages, so ... eventually?

  1. I'm going to need to find a recipe for those I think, yummy!

also, watch all of arrested development!

  2. Ooh! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for those Dole Bites. Can't go wrong with frozen bananas and chocolate.
I am SO looking forward to the new episodes of Arrested Development! It sucked when the show was cancelled. Definitely one of the best comedies ever!

  3. They're SO GOOD. Kate said she spotted them in the HEB on Anderson Mill/620. I might have to make a special trip.

  4. There were tons when I Googled. If you try one and it turns out well, let me know!
