The 2013 Man Calendar has arrived!

Those of you who haven't been longtime readers might not know that every holiday since 2004 I've worked on creating a calendar featuring my favorite non-Mister men. (Colt's such a good sport about this project—he knows that it's all in good fun. Besides, I keep the physical version at work rather than in our home.)

In perusing the 2013 edition, I'm sure you'll notice that my choices for the men of 2013 were influenced by my favorite movies and TV of the past year, but a few gents continue to stand the test of time. (See 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009; 2008—2005 are in Word Docs, haha. I've come a long way in terms of design.)

Each year has a vague theme; last year it was "black and white." This year's theme? Vehicles ... and sitting. (I couldn't find decent photos of everyone near/in/on a car or motorcycle, sadly.)

Without any further ado, I'd like you to meet Mr. January—Jeremy Renner (Star of The Avengers and Bourne Legacy and fellow sufferer of resting face.):

The rest of the year goes a little something like this:

Mr. February—Tom Hiddleston (Thor, The Avengers, Loki'd!)
Mr. March—Jensen Ackles (Supernatural)
Mr. April—Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, The Avengers)
Mr. May—David Tennant (Doctor Who, The Decoy Bride)
Mr. June—Johnny Depp (Do I even need to list things here?)
Mr. July—Chris Evans (The Losers, Captain America, The Avengers)
Mr. August—Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Cabin in the Woods, The Avengers)
Mr. September—Armie Hammer (The Social Network, Mirror, Mirror)
Mr. October—Matt Smith (Doctor Who)
Mr. November—Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock)
Mr. December—Jake Gyllenhaal (The Day After Tomorrow, Source Code)

Here's a ZIP file of all of the months, ready to be printed and cut out for your very own ogling use. They're meant to be printed on a white card stock and then trimmed to 6"x9". I usually punch a hole at the top and then hang them all from a large jumpring. (The files are 150 dpi, which means they'll look larger than 6"x9" when you open or embiggen them—and some of the photos might look a little grainy—but they should print fine. Let me know if you have any issues and I'll try to assist!)

Did I leave off anyone you would have included? Let me know and I'll add them to the list of 2014's possibilities.

  2. Aww, Sam got the shaft so-to-speak, but I don't think Dean's in the Impala which seems sacrilegious somehow.

And did you choose Matt Smith for October because he's so scary looking? HA! That was for Emily, I don't really feel one way or another about his looks.

    1. Jensen Ackles > Jared Padalecki. (I ain't sorry.)

And actually, the quasi-science behind the placement is birthdays. Matt's is in October. (There are like five men on this year's who have April birthdays, however, so the science quickly falls apart.)

    1. I—for shame—almost didn't include him in this year's! I would have been so ashamed post-Star Trek Into Darkness.
