Nerd News: Bad CGI, dolphins, J.J. Abrams directs ALL the Stars and more

Vol. 4, Issue 4

Hi friends! Seems like most of you are on board with the Disqus switchover—I'm glad! I hope it continues to be as awesome as it seems.

But I shan't keep you from what you're all really here for.

In TV news:

I am probably a little too entertained by the latest SNL Digital Short.

  1. Okayokayokay hold on hold on waitwaitwait... so seriously, I just started following your blog (brought over by Kristin of My Life As A Teacup), and I'm having a really difficult time WONDERING WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN ALL OF MY [BLOGGING] LIFE.

This post is awesome, and I'm looking forward to more of them -- usually I get my news from a bunch of different sources, but this will totally cut down on that!

I'm Kayla, by the way. Nice to "officially" meet you. :)

  2. Oh god, not another Vampire Diaries series. I guess, given the choice, I'd rather watch one about the Originals because they like to do vampire-y things like, you know, kill people and make more vampires and stuff. Especially Elijah. He's a bad ass and the show is infinitely less tolerable since he's been gone. Mostly I would just like to not watch the cast that's on the show right now. Can we have a Vampire Diaries without the Vampire Diaries cast? I might watch that show.

Wait, Amy Adams is playing Lois Lane? And suddenly I'm on board for Man of Steel. Excellent.

And some people may disagree, but those Bebop and Rocksteady figures look terrible.

  7. Yeah, I told Emily about it and she looked at me like http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8swwiZjRe1qml34n.gif

    The conversation went something like:

    Em: She's in the trailer.
    Me: Orly?
Em: Yeah, remember we watched it and you were like 'oh, I didn't know he was in this--
    Me: Who?
    Em: Kevin Costner
Me: *thinking very hard* Oh yeah! Cause there's a corn field in it.
Em: And then you said, 'Oh, I didn't know she was in this too.'
    Me: Sorry. I'm dumb.
