Nerd News: Baby Star Wars characters, a Who minisode, SHERlocked and more

Vol. 3, Issue 22

Let's jump right in, shall we?

In movie news:

A few trailers/clips:

The Dark Knight Rises

The Amazing Spider-Man

Les Misérables

These Pixar movie locale/company posters are really cool.

I would like one of each of these dresses, please!

(via)

I am totally in heart with this fan-made Expendables 2 trailer (even though it does take shots at The Avengers). (Thanks, Shaun.)

In TV news:

Here are a few teasers and a new Doctor Who minisode (!!!):

Doctor Who

Warehouse 13

(via)

True Blood

(via)

Speaking of the Doctor, did you see him running the torch last weekend? (Thanks, Rebecca!)

(via)

Oh wait, no, this is the real story.

This is a fantastic lock screen.

(via)

How cute! (Although, I'm guessing Colt and Ben are thinking this goes against all sorts of cycling rules.)

(via)

Waiting to see what the dean will be wearing in each episode of Community is one of my favorite parts of watching.

(via)

Also, love this illustration of the gang.

(via)

In SCIENCE! And tech news:

What would the X-Men look like if they were Disney-fied? Like so, perhaps?

(via)

And what if they were hipsters?

(via)

I'll admit ... I'd totally wear a couple most of those outfits.

From TGG:

Fans of World of Warcraft will recognize this video.

(via)

Guh. Leia is never not gorgeous, but this is especially lovely.

(via)

This is cool.

(via)

And these are ADORABLE. Definitely filing these away in my "ideas for future offspring" file.

(via)

Finally, I leave you with a world-shaking video of a whole crap ton of voiceover actors—whose voices you'll most definitely recognize—reading the Star Wars Trilogy: The Radio Play. (Thanks, Mark!)

Lee Jung's glowing text art

When I happened across this collection the other day, I knew it was something that needed to be shared. The otherworldly settings of these art installations/photographs, mixed with the romantic/melancholy nature of the phrases, really tugs at both my love for the dystopian genre and my hopeless romantic nature.

Aren't they gorgeous?

obsessed.: Glazed blueberry cake doughnuts

Colt and I have been trying to be healthier and smarter about our eating lately, but our diets went a bit out the window this weekend, what with the two BBQs we were invited to and a craving for doughnuts we just didn't care to ignore.

When Colt took my order on his way to Shipley's Do-Nuts—the best in Texas, IMHO—I ordered my very favorite: glazed blueberry cake.

Disclaimer: Not my actual doughnut. (via)

Cheating on my low-carb, low-sugar diet with a couple of these bad boys just felt right. I don't know that I'd want to eat them every day, but this past weekend I was definitely obsessed.

Do you have a favorite doughnut/breakfast treat? Do share! Since we're back to better eating starting today, I'll need to live vicariously through all of you.

I was contacted last week and asked if I'd like to host a Snow White and the Huntsman prize pack giveaway. I'll admit—even with Kristen Stewart in the titular role, I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. (The movie opens in theaters June 1.)

I was especially excited about running the giveaway when I learned that I would be giving away two prize packs that include nail polish and a movie gift card. (You know how much I love both nail polish and movies!)
