Renter's Delight: Christmas at the Murtis 2012

The Mister and I are headed to Oregon for the holidays, so I tried to tone down the amount of holiday decor we put out this year. I wanted it to be festive, but not too much so. Thinking about a totally decked-out house sitting empty on Christmas morning kind of makes me sad, Toy Story-style*.

We once again set up our white tree:

This time using the ornaments we had—some new, some vintage glass from my grandmother's stash—to create an ombre look. (Click on the image for a better view.)

Since getting married in 2010, we've gotten a new ornament a year. This year, however, we have two:

Thank you to TGG and his lovely wife for the infusion of Who.

The stockings are yet again hung with care:

We have a whole lot more toys than we had last year. (You can peep last year's holiday decor post for proof.)

I couldn't not set up a couple of separate little displays, too; we just have so much awesome holiday stuff!

And here's my tiny tree at work.

My nerdiness invades accentuates everything, friends.

Did you decorate this year? Link me photos—I'd love to see them!

On a totally separate note: I am Lady Geek of the Week at Being Geek Chic!
