Guest post: Skull appeal with Tish of Tish Chambers
Today's guest post is brought to you by one of the ever-so-creative Tish of Tish Chambers and The Bakestress. (You can learn more about her in her Geek of the Week post.) Thanks so much for doing this, Tish!
I have a thing for skulls. It's something that I discovered recently as I found myself drawn to the many different styles offered this time of year in the craft store I work at. I bought myself a couple to add to the small porcelain skull I had treated myself to last Halloweentime.
I soon found myself drawn to skulls not only as decor options for myself, but in beautiful images all over Pinterest. (I even made a board just for skulls.) My love of skulls is primarily for the human variety, but then there is this gorgeous porcelain, gold-plated beaver skull that stole my heart.
And dear skulls are always appreciated in photography.
My friend Kelsey was inspired by the above wedding photo shoot to do something similar with her boyfriend.
And I can't forget my girl, Skye Sweetnam, who recently did a photo shoot with a disco skull. (Yes, the same one I happened to also purchase!)
I think it's safe to say that skulls are here to stay. They're not just for Halloween, anymore, kids.
