Premiere Week 2012: Wednesday

The week may be half over, but there are still plenty of exciting things in store.

What's premiering tonight?

Criminal Minds 8–9 p.m. (CBS)

Even with the sometimes horrible (as in horribly disturbing) storylines on this show, I find it fascinating. And the team dynamic—if they can quit with the "they're out, no they're back" silliness—is awesome. (I really like shows with good group dynamic.) The removal of Prentiss and the addition of a new character played by Jeanne Triplehorn should make for an interesting start to the season, and I look forward to the little glimpses of the BAU agents' home lives.

Modern Family 8–8:30 p.m. (ABC)

Phil Dunphy is one of the greatest characters on television; the ridiculous things that come out of his mouth make me wish Modern Family was much longer than a half-hour show. Big things are in store for the cast this year, what with Gloria being pregnant and all. But can we please get a new Lily (or at least a character that behaves better)? That child is annoying.

Although I'm not interested in any of the new shows that air tonight, I'm curious—Have you watched any of the season's new shows? What do you think so far?
