Nerd News: Baby Star Wars characters, a Who minisode, SHERlocked and more

Vol. 3, Issue 22

Let's jump right in, shall we?

In movie news:

A few trailers/clips:

The Dark Knight Rises

(via)

The Amazing Spider-Man

(via)

Les Misérables

(via)

These Pixar movie locale/company posters are really cool.

(via)

I would like one of each of these dresses, please!

(via)

I am totally in heart with this fan-made Expendables 2 trailer (even though it does take shots at The Avengers). (Thanks, Shaun.)

In TV news:

Here are a few teasers and a new Doctor Who minisode (!!!):

Doctor Who

(via)

Warehouse 13

(via)

True Blood

(via)

Speaking of the Doctor, did you see him running the torch last weekend? (Thanks, Rebecca!)

(via)

Oh wait, no, this is the real story.

This is a fantastic lock screen.

(via)

How cute! (Although, I'm guessing Colt and Ben are thinking this goes against all sorts of cycling rules.)

(via)

Waiting to see what the dean will be wearing in each episode of Community is one of my favorite parts of watching.

(via)

Also, love this illustration of the gang.

(via)

In SCIENCE! And tech news:

What would the X-Men look like if they were Disney-fied? Like so, perhaps?

(via)

And what if they were hipsters?

(via)

I'll admit ... I'd totally wear a couple most of those outfits.

From TGG:

(via)

Fans of World of Warcraft will recognize this video.

(via)

Guh. Leia is never not gorgeous, but this is especially lovely.

(via)

This is cool.

(via)

And these are ADORABLE. Definitely filing these away in my "ideas for future offspring" file.

(via)

Finally, I leave you with a world-shaking video of a whole crap ton of voiceover actors—whose voices you'll most definitely recognize—reading the Star Wars Trilogy: The Radio Play. (Thanks, Mark!)

  1. I really hope that Spiderman doesn't suck, I really wasn't keen on the last ones, so I'm not expecting much to be honest, even if the new Peter Parker is yummy.

I love that they used Andrew WK on the Expendables trailer, it was perfect.

Also loving the cute baby star wars, I want them all!

    Leeerooooy Jeeenkinss... haha, thats amazing!

    1. I'm wary of the new Spider-Man if only because I think it's still too soon for a reboot. But the trailers have me thinking it's going to be good, so we shall see.

  2. I was watching the Doctor Who episode with the 2012 Olympics the other day and I thought- Ooh, I gotta watch the beginning of the Olympics so I can see all the people in the stadium disappear and then see the tenth Doctor run the last leg of the torch relay and light the flame. LOL But I didn't because I don't actually have TV and also don't care about the Olympics. And if that happened, it'd be on the internet. lolz
Also, I totally had a Sherlocked background on my iPhone for a while. :) Now I've got the TARDIS. (And I'm mostly looking forward to being able to upgrade to an iPhone 4 soon, so I can get a TARDIS case. Because I can't find one for iPhone 3GS.)

  4. I want ALL the Mass Effect hoodies!!

I'm also really hoping new Spidey doesn't suck. I'm really excited about the movie, but still really skeptical.

    1. Right?! One of each, please.

The unfortunate thing about them being made by Bioware is that they'll be like $80. Their clothing is super expensive!
