  1. I feel like the prospective death in the new Spider-Man movie makes me like it more; like they're taking it more seriously than it has seemed. Also anyone that's a fan should have been well aware that this was a possibility as soon as this character was included in the cast list. I feel like this reboot is splitting itself in two. In some ways it's going waaaay off base to reinvent the series, but in other very specific ways it's sticking to the original canon.
