Nerd News: Hipster Dalek shirts, Jason Statham to join Fast Six, a Star Trek quiet book and more

 Vol. 2, Issue 39

Before we get started today, let's take a second to remember one of the world's greatest Nerds, Mr. Steve Jobs. If you haven't checked out the lovely tribute on Apple's website, you should. (My family has history with Steve—My mom worked for Apple in the early 80s, and actually moved with Steve when he left Apple to start NeXT Computer.)

In TV news:
Here are a couple of entertaining clips:

SCIENCE!
This "quiet book" is absolutely amazing. I love that artist has made both a Star Wars and Star Trek version.

These illustrations are so cool. I love the one of the Scooby Gang (I mean the Buffy gang, for those not in the know.)

Hilarious Hipster Dalek shirts! (Thanks, Robotaday!)

I'm definitely adding this to my "to make" list.

    In movie news:
What a great tryptic these would make.

I want to see one of these stained glass pieces done in real life. Epic.

    In book news:
Ever wondered what the ghosts are thinking in Pac Man? Wonder no more. (Thanks, Colt!)

Similarly (and great advice, if you can do it):

I'm from District 12. Which District are you from?

These are really lovely illustrations of a few of the Disney princesses.

And finally, proof that all fathers are inherently the same.

    5. H-I'll pass your thanks along to Colt. He found that gem. :)

Tish-Haha, yes! (It really was so much better in the first two seasons, sigh.)

Coregeek-Thanks for the heads up! And excellent work!

Elisse-Right? The picture really makes me want to see the movie, too, and I've never been a Perry Mason fan.

LOVE the Scooby Gang illustration. I'm actually going through both Buffy and Angel right now on Netflix. :)

And Jason Statham in Fast Six?! I will definitely have to hit the midnight showing for that!

    9. I really like the Mario comic. I might need a print of that for my wall as inspiration.

    10. 1. What is with Idris Elba stealing all the white man's roles? I mean, seriously, WTH? Joking aside, I love Bond, and I love Daniel Craig as Bond, and don't want to see him go, or see the franchise change much from it's current direction, even though I wasn't much of a fan of the last movie, but I'd love to see Elba as Bond. I think it'd be really interesting to see how he'd play it, and further, I think he'd kill it.

      2. Who is drawing Jasmine like a french girl?

Ben-#2 made me laugh. (And I agree with your points on #1.)
