Nerd News: Castle, David Tennant sings, sad Eureka news and more

Vol. 2, Issue 32

Has it been a slow news week this week, or I have I just been looking in the wrong corners of the Internets?

In movie news:

Although they look rad, I really picture dwarves looking more like this:

I posted his Professor X/Magneto illustrations a while back, but Josh Rogan (and his art) really deserves another mention.

And this lady Joker? Gorgeous.

SCIENCE!
Robots are adorable. Until they turn on you. (Thanks, Colt!)

In TV news:

Can't wait.

Who said the French aren't fun? This Post-it note war between two office buildings sounds like a blast. Too bad my windows face a soccer field.

Even hockey players like nerdy stuff! Great video-game-decorated masks. (Thanks, Shaun!)

Some more awesome HP title art.

Haha.

Plan your next Game of Thrones party using recipes from Cooking Ice and Fire.

Patrick Stewart will never cease to be awesome.

At first, I thought this video was going to have something to do with Chad Vader. But nevertheless, it's funny.

(Thanks, Colt!)

I'm thinking about moving to New Zealand, where Star Wars coins will soon be official currency.

I like this old-school Japanese style spin on Nintendo characters.

On a related note, a big-ol' 1UP to these dancers.

And finally, two of my very favorite people, singing Shakespeare—quite well!

  1. Riddick 2 got interesting. He became like Conan in space.

    Why are the Ponds leaving?!!?!?!?

And oh, I do love the Martha Wayne Joker.

  2. DT-I agree. I like the Riddick movies. And the Ponds are leaving to be a family, I suppose, counting on the fact that they get Melody back. Besides, they've hit the two-year mark. And will supposedly be "around" in the seventh series, somehow, so that's something.

  3. I love the Castle promo. I was wondering how they would do one without giving stuff away. I love love love Michael Dorn. Worf is my favorite Star Trek character (but I hate all other Klingons). I'm so excited to hear that he is going to guest-star.

I love Doctor Who. I can't wait for 6.2. I mean, the first episode is called "Let's kill Hilter!" - amazing stuff.

  5. Weird! He does actually look like Seth Green a little. But no, it's Aiden Turner (http://i1.cdnds.net/11/07/550w_gayspy_aiden_turner_1.jpg).

  7. I was reading an interview with Jim Henson and he was asked about Bert and Ernie being gay, and he replied that they are puppets not sexual beings, they are best friends who happen to be roommates for the express purpose of teaching opposites.

So if anything, one is gay and the other is straight
