Monscellany

Today started off like any other Monday, with the doldrums and anxiety that I've come to associate with the beginning of each week. I had a stressful dream last night in which I was back in high school, in our show choir competition, and we had to stop in the middle of our program because the stage curtain was on the fritz.

But then I got stopped on my way out of Starbucks—I needed a lunchtime Monday pick-me-up—and was asked if I would mind my picture being taken for a newspaper street style article. Now, I hate having my picture taken. Hate it. And I'm definitely no style blogger. But recently—thanks to the healthy living kick Colt and I are on—I've been feeling much better about myself, so I said yes. I have no idea when the article will be run, nor if I'll still be included come press time, but what a flattering and day-turning-around happenstance!

I know I've said this before, but I struggle with creativity. I ran across another great list of ideas the other day and knew I had to share it with you all.

I like these ideas, a lot.

Oh, and before I forget—Happy August, friends! Have a little Alex O'Loughlin to make your Monday better.
