In honor of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 premiere that's going on right now, let's fantasize a little about traveling in that world, shall we?

In movie news:

This fan-made Old Man Logan trailer has the looks of a very interesting movie.

I'm going to steal this idea when I eventually have kids, regardless if Harry Potter is still hip or not. (It will always be hip, to me.)

I've always thought the Wall Street Journal illustrations were so cool. Love these Harry Potters through the years.

How are Harry Potter and Star Wars the same movie? (Click to embiggen.)

To wrap up the Harry Potter business, you can now translate your insults into Parseltongue!

I cannot wait for this game.

The Saturday Evening Post should have had covers like this.

In TV news:
I am so stealing this idea. (Don't tell anyone.)

This one's for Emily.

Game of Thrones is coming to many different mediums near you.

Haha. Monty Python is so perfect.

Also worthy of a good laugh:

    Oh, Mollie ...

I'm in love with Karen Wang's illustrations of classic superheros.

Did you happen to catch Neil Gaiman on Craig Ferguson? No?

    (via)

    You're welcome.

These pictogram movie posters are very cool.

    (via)

I love the arty feel to these.

    (via)

Red, white and black makes such a striking combo.

    (via)

    Oh, Luke.

    (via)

Wow, creepy. (Thanks, Colt. If I have nightmares, I'm glad to know that you'll be right next to me.)

And finally, Simon Pegg is awesome. Simon Pegg's roles are awesome. So inherently, this illustration is awesome2.

    1. the mash up of star wars and the twilight zone is hilarious! and i love that you included a side by side comparison of hp and sw. i've been telling samar for ages now that she would like sw if she would give it a chance cause its the fundamentally the same as hp.. and yet she doubts. our bedroom is done in black/white/red... totally thinking about getting those sw prints to put in there....

    2. Unfortunately, there's occasionally a disconnect between scifi and people who like fantasy. Perhaps she's just one of those people? And I think you should totally buy those prints. ;)

    5. I am totally going to send Audrey an owl! I can't wait until she's old enough to sit still through reading the series. :)
