obsessed.: Hyperdrive

Talking about Paul—and Nick Frost—got me thinking about one of my very favorite TV series from across the pond: Hyperdrive. Colt and I watched this series a couple of years ago, and we still quote it on a very frequent basis. It's stupidly hilarious. (Think along the lines of Red Dwarf, another classic Brit space show.) I feel like I need to watch it again.

Hyperdrive ran for 12 episodes in 2006 and 2007. Set in 2151, it follows the crew of HMS Camden Lock as they stumble through their heroic mission to protect British interests in a changing galaxy. Nick Frost stars as bumbling Space Commander Michael Henderson, and I'm sure if you've ever seen anything else Frost/Pegg, you'll recognize a few of the other main characters.

Here are some clips for your enjoyment: (They don't quite do the series justice, but they're all I could find online.)

  1. Awesome! I used to watch this too. Unfortunately, i think it didn't do very well in the U.K.
