Haiku Revieu: The Adjustment Bureau

The Adjustment Bureau (****)

Fate is not free will
Choice controlled by men in hats
Yet Chance still exists

I went in to this movie never having read the Phillip K. Dick short story it's based on ("The Adjustment Team;" you can read it here), so I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. The plot, although a bit predictable (not that I'm knocking—SPOILER ALERT—happy endings), surprised me in a lot of good ways. I won't get too much into it, but the way the film portrayed fate/free will/a higher power really struck a chord with my views on the whole subject.

Plus, I do so enjoy a good Matt Damon thriller (with a love story twist).
