obsessed.: "Tonight"

It's really no big secret that one of my not-so-guilty pleasures is dance music. I love all kinds of music, but if a song comes on the radio with a good beat and catchy lyrics, I'm going to be bopping my head in no time.

My current jam is Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight":

I'm not typically that big of a fan of Enrique's, but this song just makes me want to dance. Plus, Ludacris is in it, and I heart him.

I was a bit surprised when I heard the explicit version of this song at a club last month. (I don't often find myself in clubs, but this was a special occasion.) I actually prefer the clean version, as the other one seems like vulgarity for vulgarity's sake. (I'm not saying the use of a good curse isn't appropriate from time to time, of course. I am by no means a completely clean-mouthed person.)

Perhaps it's just the way I heard it first which makes me like it better? I have similar feelings about CeeLo Green's "Forget You" vs. "F**k You".

On a side note: I've also gotten obsessed. with H-E-B's San Antonio blend coffee this week. (Thanks Ben and Samar!) It's got hints of Mexican chocolate, and it's really lovely and smooth. Colt bought me a pound for Valentine's Day. If you're in Texas, and like coffee, get thyself to an H-E-B, stat.

  1. i hear you on the cee lo green song. everytime i hear the unedited version, i feel like a kid watching a love scene with their parents! i especially (and embarrassingly) like gwyneth paltrow's glee cover of 'forget you.' i shall never tell how many times i've hulu'd that clip - for shame!

  2. No shame, not here anyway. I too, love that version. I am a total sucker for covers, which is why I think I love Glee so much.
