Nerd News: I Am Number Four, Minimalist art, Star Wars meets Dr. Seuss and more.

Vol. 1, Issue 23

Is anyone else having the longest week ever? Not really bad, per se, but it's just been going on for years now.

A quick welcome before we get into everything to my new followers. I thought I'd never make it to 20! I appreciate you, ever so much. (I appreciate all you oldies, too, of course!)

There's a minimalist movement going 'round the Internets these days. I posted some a while back, but here's a couple more.

Minimalist Muppets:

Minimalist Doctor Who (but only the first six, bah.):

In movie news:
Speaking of which, here are a couple of official photos from Pirates 4. Who does Penelope Cruz play, again?

Some more Star Wars art? Don't mind if I do.

Chewie's looking very ... chewy. (BA-DUM-CHA!)

This A is for Ackbar Star Wars alphabet book is adorable.

Interested in a Darth flake?

And thanks to the lovely H for alerting me to these:

This could be condsidered SW art, I think?

Stick around for the credits. They're good for a giggle.

Here's a new trailer for I Am Number Four:

And a trailer for what looks to be a movie based on ... Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots. Starring Hugh Jackman.

And finally, here's a few little random bits that caught my eye this week:

The sonic screwdriver—not just science fiction?

Need a Marvel-ous Christmas card?

If only we'd known: Get married on "Pandora"!

If you were a kid in the 80s or 90s, you will enjoy this. (I really, really miss some of these shows.)

  1. Dude, rock'em sock'em robots! Hahaha. And Number 4 looks so good.

  2. Yes, I can't believe they've made a movie from that premise, but there's been plenty of awful movies based on really great ideas ... :D
