Nerd News: Dark Shadows, Harry Potter fun, TRON: Legacy and more

Vol. 1, Issue 19

Before we get down to business, I just wanted to send a quick thanks out into the ether to those men and women who serve (or have served) our country in the armed services. While I don't always agree with military politics, I know that the people serving are doing so out of a sense of patriotism and duty to our county, and they definitely deserve thanks. My grandfather (RIP, Papaw) served in the Pacific theater during WWII.

Now onto the show!

I feel like I've been waiting forever for TRON: Legacy to come out. (We first saw some pre-production images at Comic Con three years ago.) I know it takes time for movies to be made, particularly movies this special effect-intensive, but really guys. You really better put on one helluva show now, since you've gotten my hopes so high.

A whole lot of movie news this week:

Holy ... I need this hoodie. I'd go for the shirt, but cream? Really?
(ETA: Don't buy this for me if you're not my husband. I got scolded.)

In similar news, I'd lock mine up too.

And also, the Quidditch World Cup is making it's way to New York.

I'm loving these "minimalist" superhero illustrations.

In TV news:
This one's so good, I just had to post it.

Love these ads. (Like I said, East and West wings, please.)

Someone with mad skillz please make me a Millenium Falcon? K Thx.

And finally, missing the crew of Firefly? Check them out in this short comic story. As much as I enjoyed Serenity, it's good to see Wash and Shepard again.
