Nerd News: Captcha comics, Priest, transporters and more

Vol.1, Issue 13

The countdown has begun: Glee starts back up in 12 days.

(See also: Promos 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.)

According to Rolling Stone:
In its first season, Glee featured some weirdly eclectic song choices: Remember “Thong Song” and “Sweet Caroline” in the “Mash-Up” episode? But in the season-two premiere on September 21st, the show will outdo itself. Rolling Stone has learned that the first episode will feature renditions of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind,” Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire,” and Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” In true Gleek fashion, the cast will also perform two vintage Broadway musical standards—“What I Did for Love” from A Chorus Line and “Getting to Know You” from The King and I—as well as “Listen” from the film version of Dreamgirls.
In other TV news:
I really enjoy Chris Bishop's style (and no, not just because he's done some Star Wars art ... but really, how awesome is his Han Solo?)

In movie news:
These CAPTCHA comics make me laugh. Particularly:

These Disney Princesses re-imagined as superheroes are great. I really wish I could draw!

And finally: Tractor beams are real! WHERE IS MY TRANSPORTER?

  1. Again, awesome nerd news. I love the princesses. You know, I may not watch Glee, but I always love watching the promos. So weird.

  2. H, I'm the same way actually. I've seen one episode, ever, but I know the majority of the music. Ha.

And Mandyyyyyyyyy. I am stressed out for Olive! :( :( :( And Peter!

  3. You guuuyyyyssssss. You should watch it. <3

And I'm so glad you like it, H. I really enjoy putting NN together.

Ang, I know. After that revelation of feelings in the last ep, I am SO nervous!
